Overview

Visit the Al Ain Zoo, an idyllic family-friendly attraction in the green city. It is also the home of over 4000 different species of animals, including rhinos, Arabian oryx, tigers, hippos, and lions. A wonderful location to learn more about the UAE’s natural environment is the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre, which is housed in the zoo in a stunning structure with LEED Platinum certification. Be sure to visit the zoo’s newest addition, Al Ain Safari, which covers more than 215 hectares of land and impressively replicates one of the most fabled ecosystems in the world. 

Attractions

Children’s Zoo: The Children’s Zoo, which is close to the Asian Habitat, features petting areas and bird feeding stations where children may engage with the animals. For a ride, they can even climb atop a horse, a camel, or a pony! 

• Wings of the Sahara show:  Time: 6:00 pm, be amazed by our well-liked birds of prey show and watch as falcons, eagles, owls, and vultures show off their impressive flying and hunting prowess in a captivating performance. Be careful because they’ll fly right over your head! After the performance, don’t miss the chance to take pictures with the birds.
• Cheetah Run: Timing: 4:00 pm (Friday & Saturday). Enjoy seeing our champions Cleo, Nazik, & Firas compete for the gold championship title in a frenzied race during the Cheetah Run.
• Watching Animal Feeding: All feeding shows at the Al Ain Zoo are free to attend between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 pm. If you are going to visit the zoo solely to watch the shows, however, be aware that the show times are liable to vary or be canceled, so be sure to get in touch with the zoo first. 

More Attractions

Al Ain Safari, a relatively new addition to the zoo, deserves special attention. Its 215+ hectares of land alone impressively depict one of the most fabled ecosystems in the world. Most native African species, including the famous Big 5, may be found here, all of which are free to roam in an environment that closely resembles that of their natural habitat. Additionally, keep tabs on the locals, such as Addax, who are in grave danger. Take a 45- or 60-minute SUV excursion across the section’s immaculately managed animal attractions for the most genuine African safari experience.

The Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre (SZDLC) is housed at the zoo, which is the best part.

• The Al Ain Zoo entry ticket is valid for the chosen date, and entry is only permitted between certain hours; visit their website for more information.
• Please schedule your visit accordingly as the Al Ain Zoo safari truck ticket is only good for the selected time frame.
• Please be aware that outside food and drink are not allowed on the zoo’s grounds.
• An enjoyable and educational experience is provided by the free train journey offered to Al Ain Zoo visitors.
