Getting a sun-kissed, happy glow after a day of soaking up Abu Dhabi sunshine and rushing down water slides is the sign of an incredible day. That’s how it feels after spending a day at one of the top tourist spots that is Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi. Located on Yas Island, just 20 minutes from the main city, this waterpark has a theme based on Emirati culture.

There is a pearl in the park, and you can see it atop Jebel Dhana, the park’s towering centerpiece. It’s pretty massive, so you shouldn’t miss it.

Daredevil Rides and Epic Slides

The Abu Dhabi Yas Waterworld has a lot to offer once you get there. Featuring 40 legendary coasters and slides, you’ll be giggling, shrieking, and screaming with delight. If you’re sensitive to fear, you may even panic a bit. Each ride has a height restriction for your kids’ safety.

We’re off to the rides now! Try out Dawwamma, the first and longest hydromagnetic-powered, 238-meter-long, six-person tornado waterslide in the world, and then tackle the incredible, three-meter-high waves at Bubble’s Barrel, the largest surfable sheet wave in the world for flow boards and bodyboards. Turn the dial up to 100 for excitement seekers because that is the Liwa Loop. 

Imagine the ground giving way beneath you at any moment, sending you plummeting in freefall down a rapid slide.

The park offers ample of food options, from kid-friendly fare to healthy salads, sandwiches, and pasta. With frozen lemonade and ice cream, Skinny’s Frozen Treats will keep you cool.
